Yes, you can retrofit xenons later if the car doesnt have them as an option.

Jas are you sure? I have a '03 without Xenon and when we tried to switch it to Xenon they did not work properly. The main light worked, but the fog and high beams did not. Loren and Gert have been trying to figure out the wiring difference. As far as we know there is no official retrofit kit available.

I agree with Itzkirb...You cant just buy a xenon light for an 02 or newer non-xenon car and plug it in...I think there are differences between the two wiring harnesses and connectors...DOnt see why htough you cant do it assume you buy all what goes in the fender and not just the headlight itself?? Anyone try this?
Darren do a search in this forum as I remember a lengthy discussion about it in the past 2-3 weeks

Nothing yet. Loren thinks he knows which wires to switch to make everything work. It's just a matter or getting everybody needed together to try it. Tough during the holiday season and the poor weather.

msindi, IMO if they haven't come out with a retrofit kit by now I don't think they will come out with one.

Darren here is the link to renntech. Hope they work the Xenon thing out.

I have an idea why don't we just kick the crap out of somebody in Porsche so Xenon's will be standard in a $75,000 car, meanwhile Ford has Xenon's in the Focus'.

On the Corvette forums, everyone assumed cheapo GM would charge up the wazoo for the bi-xenon HIDs on the Corvette C6 as an option since that's what Porsche does. Guess what - they will be standard . ( BTW, MBZ charges for HIDs as an option on their $90K SL 500 ! )
