What does Porsche do when you have a RMS problem (with a car under warranty) with a Supercharger in your car. Do the tuners warranty the engine? Also, can the stock internals of this (different engine from the turbo's, GT2 and GT3) engine deal with all that horsepower ?

You work with a dealer you know the RMS is a block issue and has nothing to do with whether or not you SC'd the engine. No the tuners do not warranty there engines at least if you dont buy direct i.e. RUF car.

I was wondering if they would use the Supercharger as a reason, even though it is a block issue. Aside from RMS, can that engine handle that much horse power?

Funny you mention that as I always do the 993 block (TT,GT2/3) is a much better engine the 3.4 and 3.6 as well 3.8 (997s) variants are built on a crappy block and I personally would not waste my money on an SC on that engine.

Crappy......thats pretty harsh words....like saying M3's are crappy bcause they grenade....To respond the the original poster, I have not heard of one instance where the internals of a M96 supercharged engine failed due to the internal components inability to handle the power. Actually if you do research on superchargers, they are quite easy on an engine with moderate boost.

I'd take Porsche's RMS issues over BMW's M3 granading effect any day of the week.

I've yet to hear of a high performance vehicle with no engine issues!

I drive - on a daily basis - a sibling of the worlds winningest race car manufacturer - yes... Porsche.

Ritchie, I have driven my buddies 02 SC and not only does it move like an SOB, he drives it around reliably. The power is there when you need it. The Evo SC was installed by a Porsche dealer therefore he is taken care of in the warranty dep.

don't worry about he sc. My car pulls hard. I drive it all the time with no problems. (except in the snow) you could probably find a dealer which may do the install for you or else you could pay for mike from evo to come out and do the install like I did.
