New skirts just installed - but may have a problem?

I finally got my car back from the dealer after having the side skirts installed. I'm really happy with the total aerokit look of the car now. I've included before/after shots below...

However, I'm not thrilled with the gap between the edge of the skirts and the side of the car. I'm not sure if this is normal, or if the installer didn't do a good job.

Can those of you with the older style side skirts like mine (original "Cup" style, not the newer GT3 style) let me know how big the gap is between your skirts and the side of the car? Also, please let me know if your skirts came from the factory or if you had them installed later. I've included some close-ups of the gap which is just under 1/8 inch. It appears to simply be the thickness of the double-sided tape used to affix the top edge of the skirt, but it's hard to know for sure.

Thanks...

Here is the car without the skirts...

Longhorn, I have the old style skirts like yours and at the moment I am out of town. I don't recall my skirts sticking that far out. Friday when I'm home I will double check for you.

I had mine installed after, but they are factory skirts and installed by the dealer.

It looks right. Looks very good actually. Same "gap" I've noticed on others. Can't really see it

i think the back of the skirt should be painted as well so the gap won't be that visible.
