Hello everyone this is my first post on this forum and I’m excited to join because I will be buying a 996 911. Im 18 and have been driving a 2006 v6 mustang as my first car. I started driving the mountain roads around my area and have loved canyon carving ever since. I chose the 911 because it is the perfect sports car in my opinion. Fast in the straights but more importantly in the turns. And they look good. I’m really looking forward to getting into my first Porsche but I wanted to hear some advice from the owners about things to avoid/ owner known secrets about keeping them running for as long as possible. Any advice whether it pertains to driving, maintenance, problems, or general car care are appreciated.
I will be purchasing a Carrera 4 with a manual transmission.
