Okay, so before the smart comments roll in... I had 18's and hit a curb and blew out the fronts. A friend took a full set of 20's off his 2004 recently, so I can use them and they are nearly identical to mine in appearance. I am trying to see if it's just the tire size thats wrong OR something else since the front tires are rubbing with tight corners, especially going up driveways, etc.
I have 245/30ZR20's on the front and 305/25ZR20's on the rear. Mathematically, they are nearly identical in height to the 18's I had since those had more tread height. Just these have thinner side walls obviously. It's the outer tire that hits the inner wheel well when turning so I'm wondering if a small spacer would work enough to move them out slightly or I had read once before that 235's on the front work but 245's are too wide.
I love the look of them honestly and I dont track the car, it's just a Sunday driver. I bought the car cheaper than I can buy a used Miata, so i'm not looking for a purist smart comments, just real help. Thanks
