ZX9RCAM, just open the car and turn the radio on...

 

I have a 1999.....how do I turn it on without the key???
Or is this just with newer cars?

 

Works in my 99 too.

 

997 does it as well but displays a message on the PCM about how it will only play for a short time due to battery issues.

 

OK, then let me ask this stupid question.

What actions do I perform to turn on my radio without the
key in the ignition?
When I open my door to get in, the radio panel is black. Do I just
push the volume button in to turn it on with out the key?

My radio works with doors closed and key out, for an hour I believe. I wax with music!

 

for some reason i thought the radio would remain off if the door was open and the key was out.

 

I tried mine & it WILL come on if I push the power button with no key in...
