Makeover - 6 month report
Guys,
I picked up an 01 C2 back in November. Gradually mods have been added. Last night Tim W. came by and helped me put on the Aero nose.
So far the car's got clear bra, tint, painted bumperettes, GHL exhaust, new exhaust tips, H & R springs, aero kit, 18" Porsche wheels (came with 17"'s).
Inside - XM radio, flash to pass GDO, ultimate cupholders, aluminum pedals, SSK, radar detector, 3 spoke steering wheel, and a couple of painted trim pieces.
I've got some BSA 10" spoke wheels on order (Thanks Tim for the photoshop job -- see the last attached pic) and plan to add SS brake lines and have Sandoval paint the calipers red. That should take care of the exterior, then ............ ???
I'm really happy with the results so far -- had to share.
Cheers,
Mike

The front is relatively easy. Jack the car up. Remove 6 of the plastic rivets in the wheel liner (buy extras of those as they tend to break). Remove the side lights. Remove about a 10 screws from underneath. Remove a small cover from the trunk area and take out a couple of screws. Disconnect the temp sensor from the bumper. Pull old one off. Transfer the hole plug and any bumper plugs to the new one. Reverse the process. Its a lot easier to handle with two people but I suspect one patient person could get it done. Probably took us under an hour. Here's a link to some DIY instructions. http://p-car.com/996/diy/aerokit/

To remove bumper, there are 3 screws near the side marker. If you know what you are doing, an hour may be doable with 2 people. It took me several hours as some of the pop rivets are very stubborn and I couldn't find all the screws despite of my intitial research on instructions.
