EVOMS 3.6L Supercharger
Todd at EVOMS tortured me today by giving me a ride in his first supercharged 3.6L 996. Car is an absolute animal. 430 HP with acceleration to match. Far greater acceleration than the 3.4L version. OMG eyewatering perfomance.
For those of you waiting for data Todd will post it soon. Currently moving to new facility. For anyone considering upgrading their 3.6L the boost in performance is non-linear and absolutely eye watering.
Was just getting over the ride when James Moore arrived with his 720HP TT. James stunned me when he offered me his keys and said lets take it for a ride. 20 minutes later I returned with my view of acceleration forever altered. HP at the wheels was ridiculous. Fortunately the 101 was somewhat busy which prohibited me from approaching speeds that would have jailed for the entire holiday season. The kindness displayed by James was overwhelming, just like his car. It took quite awhile to come down from the high of driving a 720HP car. Afterwards I hopped into my beloved 02 C2 and the road to 60MPH has never seemed longer.

David,
I am glad you enjoyed the SC 3.6L. With 430 HP to the wheels, this lucky owner will be terrorizing the streets looking for a 996TT to race
I feel kinda bad torturing you like that yesterday. Anytime you you need a power fix, just stop by we will have some keys waiting for you.

Sorry ben, nothing I could do to help out the 3.4L. The 2004 3.6L motors have better electronics and a more advance vario cam which allows the motor to breathe better. The first pulley was creating 6.5 PSI and we were at 457 wheel HP. We then tried another pulley at 6 psi and it only dropped it to 438 wheel HP. The third pulley lowered the boost to 5 PSI and the power is at 420 wheel HP in 3rd gear and 430 wheel HP in 4th gear. We were only hoping for 400 wheel HP, I guess we should be happy with where we are at. The car is a missle and would give a slightly modded 996TT a run for it's money.

Todd maybe I should just pick up an 03 cab cheap and send it to you - much cheaper than buyig a TT cab - dang I should have never sold my cab!
I am curious what the long term affects would be on the car though? Is it a must to upgrade the suspension and brakes as well or can the stock parts handle all the extra HP ?

Would the different cylinder heads and camshaft timing of the X51 make it difficult to do a supecharged ECU program for it ?

I think that these motors will be fine. I can say that on our end (the tuning side) the upgrade is totally safe. We have reduced the ignition timing, we have plenty of fuel (at WOT in 4th gear we are at 12:1 AFR) and we are only running .35 bar of boost (5 PSI).

"Are you planning something?????"
possibly. you got a lot more hp out of the 3.6 and if the warm start problem is not a part of the 3.6 (and therefore more likely to pass CA emissions), i might buy a 3.6 car and sell mine.
