This is exactly what I was going to point out. From this perspective, it doesn't seem that far fetched. When I put the Remus on my turbo, I got about a 13 or 14 peak hp increase, but I got over 30 at certain rpm's within the powerband.

By the way, where does the 'carbon fiber top' go? On top of what?

Yeah, that's the first thing that came to my mind too. Tons of posts but did anybody ever actually dyno it themselves and prove it one way or the other? (I doubt it).

That's what I thought. You can't even really see the top of the filter but I bet it looks cool when you look at it before throwing it out on replacement.

Since KN filters are oiled, are we gonna have MAF issue?
Anyone found out about the paper filter availability?

Oh no, I just ordered a K&N filter for my stock airbox. Don't tell me there are MAF issues?

I had a K&N filter on my '99 Boxster for 8+ years and never had any issues with it. You'll have problems if the filter is over oiled, but out of the box should not cause problems.

Actually out of the box is when you are most likely to have problems...they tend to be over oiled for shelf life reasons and then when subjected to intake pressures the oil ends up on the MAF. Of course this is not near the problem on NA P-cars as with the turbos (with the enourmous amount of intake pressure).
