very easy to do. in fact, just follow the B&M instructions here -

Yes, it's an easy install. Be sure to adjust your shifter cables so that you are going solidly into each gear though. You will have 2 cables, one for your forward gears and one for reverse. I failed to adjust my reverse cable well enough and now keep popping out of reverse! Now I have to open everything back up and readjust it. No big deal, just save yourself the pain!

 

Oh yes without adjusting the cables, you will think your car is broken. Leave the center off and drive it around and make small adjustments if you need!
