track tires for C4S

I just ordered pilot sport cups 225/40/18 and 295/30/18 and plan to run them next week at Watkins Glen. I just, however, noticed that the Toyo's RA-1s are a lot cheaper but only come in 245/40/18 and 305/35/18. Does anyone know if I can safely run this size? Will this upset the all wheel drive? Will there be too much tire upfront?

Thanks

Stick with the cups in 225/295's, you will find the glen amazing with cups.

might be alright. i was going to run the 305s but didn't have enough fender. also the rear tire is taller than the front. there's only a 2.66% diameter difference but physically double check the diameters with the distributor.

a 245 is not too much especially for a c4s... it has a heavier front end. if you stick with the MPSCs then i would go with 235/295.

the ra1's will be squirmy at first, if they aren't shaven down to 4/32", but if you drive at full tread they will last longer than the MPSCs. even though MPSCs tread will last as long as the ra1s, the MPSCs will heat cycle themselves out before they cord but the ra1s will still have grip until they cord.

the MPSCs do have more ultimate grip though.
