I tried it weekly from Tahoe to San Jose. Several headaches later I had Sharky put back my fabspeed mufflers. If I spent less then 20 mins/day in the car I would do it. It is too much for long drives.

I DD them. If i'm in a good mood its great but if i'm tired, the pipes will only aggravate my headache. Thankfully this is a rare occasion and most of the time whne i'm driving it is with windows down and roof open

Resonance is a bit of an issue at low rpm with windows up.

If you're really gungho or have ever owned a muscle car or 5.0 mustang, then u can probably live with this.

I just did the cheap version of it to see what it would sound like. I like the sound of it. The only problem is I think it might be too loud for my neighborhood and the cops that want to be an @$$. Other than that, I agree it sounds like an american muscle car. Going to try it out for a few more days to see if I should really buy FABspeeds or just put the mufflers back on. I'm happy with the car either way.

And one day later, I'm ready to take them off and looking into an exhaust system now. Had I lived in a busier neighborhood, I'd probably leave them on. Glad I at least tried them out the cheap way w/o much of a loss.

Check out the FABspeed web site first. I believe it'll tell you all the information you need on there. Also, I'd definitely encourage you to hear what these sound like on someone else's car who has them already on before purchasing them. Speaking from experience, I'm actually starting to hate the un-tuned sound. Yes, they are loud, but they're manageable in my opinion. However, they just don't sound as good as an exhaust system.

Cheers

Thanks, yeah I have searched for many opinions, people say that it is loud, and at times too loud. I live in South Orange county here in cali and cops are just tickets ******, sorry if anyone is a cop here. I have a few friends that are cops, and they are talking me out of it.

^ just do what I do, if they ask about the exaust i just tell them its the optional porsche sport exhaust and give them a random part number starting with 996.322.xxx.xx

that usually prevents any further commentry from the boys in blue. Truth be told tho, up here as long as my cat's are in place i don't think they care about my car being loud and on more than 1 occason i've gotten a thumbs up from cops who are younger.

They are waaaay too loud on a DD, you're kidding yourself if you think you can drive these things day in day out. If you've ever heard open headers, then you've heard these. I mounted them to drive to the track, it was so annoying that I just did the swap at the track for future track days.
