Yokohama tires vs warranty
I would like to replace my original Pirellies with Yokohama AVS Sports on my C4S. I've been thinking I would be voiding some warranty because they don't have a N stamped on the sidewall. Just what warranty would I go against if I went with Yoko's? It's not like I'm racing my car and I've had Yoko's on my ///M Roadster and loved the hell out of them They stuck like glue and good looking too? Need your input. TIA
I really think this is going to be dependent upon your dealer and how "forgiving" they are of such "atrocities". I ran Yoko AVS Sports on my Boxster and they gave me no issue. When I inquired as to what the adverse affect would be upon my warranty, I was told that should I have an accident of speeds in excess of 150mph, that this would be a potential issue.
When I last checked, N rated Yoko AVS Sports have come on and off of the list. I would check from time to time (Seems to coordinate with season, spring being the best time to find N rated AVS Sports).
I will, once I run through these pathetic Conti SC2's get myself into another set of AVS Sports. Or Michelins...we'll see when the time comes.
