i OWNED him til...

...~90mph

just playing around with a TT at a fwy onramp. not sure if i had a jump on him or what but my evo996SC pulled like a champ . i slowly pulled away in 2nd and 3rd til i shut it down. didn't want to go beyond 90 mph for fear of another ticket . the TT sounded like it had an aftermarket exhaust and had bling wheels as it screamed by. 3~5 seconds of fun and with a bicycle on the bike rack for extra drag .

i'm sure the TT would have come on real strong after 100. hey it's a little bit of something. the TT guys can't have all the fun

These superchargers are indeed fun.

I like the added insult of you with a bike rack on the rack too.

hehe. it has been loads of fun with the SC. i get into the phases where i don't feel that it's as fast as i want it to be but it's moments like these that slaps me out of it

stopetechs are nice. the rotors wear very well. even with the bigger rotor/heatsink you still have to use quality fluid though. don't use ATE blue/gold.

yup added insult of the bike in the rack.

from a dead stop though, i think he would have beat me, esp because of the 4WD and torque down low but from a roll the vortechSC really kicks in.

i wish we had some really clear road (minus the bike in the back) to really see how well my care would fare.

LOL true, but i don't seem to get any of the ricers wanting to challenge me. just get thumbs up.

i take that back about no rednecks on the peninsula. there are plenty of the in the mountains along skyline. i would get buzzed by rednecks in their pickups cycling up in the mountains.

nice story karlooz.... the bike rack is classic. do you have any pics?

I'm surprised there hasn't been more 996SC vs. TT stories around here... I was in my m5 a few months ago and was trying to get a good run with topspn (he has a evosc as well), but traffic never permitted. oh well

here's an older pic. the rear wheel i had on last night was a deep dish carbon wheel so there was even more drag.

i'm not really into street racing but this was an unusual occurence. we were both going onto the freeway, with the TT just behind me. hardly ever happens.

M5 huh. with smg? must be a beast. 500HP right?
