Experience with generic Ebay short shift kits?

Has anybody tried installing one of these no-name short shift kits?

Also, where is everyone going to buy the B&M kit?

One of the most critical links between driver and vehicle...why shortcut and cheap out?

B&M (which we carry, and have on special sale right now, by the way), is the gold standard. Yes, there are others. But for another $100, you will have a 1 million mile warranty and peace of mind.

Just my two cents.

I did the B&M on my car and LOVE the feel of it! The shifts are so solid and crsip and it is the shortest throw I have ever felt. Everyone who I let try it agrees, I would say it has to be one of the best upgrades you can do!

Tell me about the 1 million mile warranty and where I can find it.

And, the warranty is a warranty of what? Breaking a solid metal shift lever or something else?

Straight from their site:
"Don't short-change yourself just to save a couple dollars on the front end - a B&M shifter will be the last shifter you'll ever buy. And with our million-mile warranty, you're guaranteed satisfaction."

$249....that cannot be the 'factory ssk'....absolutely no way. But if it is, that is superb. Congratulations.

ZDR....that tool you referenced, yes, we can get it. Probably the most insanely priced Porsche part I've ever seen....$350!!!!!

Eric,
I confirmed the factory shifter and it is a factory short shift. Another member in Cincinnati also ordered one.
