Bumper to Bumper or Watered Down Warranty?

Just recently purchased a Silver 2000 C2 Cabriolet and could not be happier with it. Now my question is, should I get the hardcore bumper to bumper like warranty for about $5000, or a really watered down version that covers just powertrain, or something in between? All warranties I'm considering are 3 yr/36k.

I'm just trying to figure out how hard it is to do your own repairs should these cars need them. I don't really have too many special tools. Just jacks, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.

Thanks for your help!
