Question on the 996 Carrera rear emblem
how did you get the rear license plate area wide enough for a european sized license plate? just simply removing bumper plugs?

If you're asking me, I replaced the stock rear bumper on my 02 Cab with a Euro TT rear bumper from Gert in Germany. Comes w/o the bumperettes. The P O R S C H E emblem are the same factory letters used on pre 74 Porsches, but I put mine on w double face tape so I didn't have to drill holes.

I just ordered a smoked 3rd brake light and silver Carrera script from Eric at Bumperplugs.com - nice guy to deal with and very helpful, and quite a comedian via email
.
btw, his price on the factory silver Carrera script is cheep! $19. Compare that with the normal dealership price of about $30.
bumperplugs sells a painted Arctic Silver '911' logo for $99, but that is more than I wanted to spend (even tho I know that they had to custom paint it since the OE '911' logos only come in black).
So, I will post pics after I get the two items installed.
