tips on removing scratches on a polished lip

I've got some scratches on my rims and would like some advice on removing them. The scratches are right on the polished lip and are each about 1 inch in length. There are also several other smaller scratches that are about 1/4" . What is the best way to buff them out? Thanks !

Is the lip clearcoated? If it is, don't bother - you'll end up with a bigger mess than you started with. Send them out. If they are not, go buy a cheap die grinder from Harbor Freight.com and a 3" buffing wheel for it. With some red compound they take about 2 seconds each to polish out.

Damon, thanks for the tip.

The tire company not only damaged the wheels, but they also tore up the beads in the tire. Seeing that you are a tire expert, is there anyway I can repair the tire? I am going to post photos as soon as I resize them.

Thanks.
