GT3 swaybar install on C4

Is there anyone out there that has already made this this modification?

I'm in the process of installing GT3 swaybars on my 2000 6sp coupe C4. The attached photo shows how I have the front bar positioned right now; between the axel and control arm. Does this look right?

When I position the bar over the top of the axel it gets dangerously close (~1/8 inch) to the tie-rod with the wheels pointed straight ahead and I don't think it will clear at all when steering left or right.

Surprisingly the stock link seems to fit well as adjusted here. I have a set of adjustable links on-hand, but with the bar as shown they are way too short.

Any insight or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The GT3 bars on a 996 is NOT a direct bolt on...you need the appropriate drop links....TRG (The Racers Group) sells a kit to put the GT3 bars on a 996 ith adjustable drop links. I think the rears will fit on one setting with teh stock setup, so you lose the adjustability unless you get the custom drop links. T my knowledge the front bar will not work at all without adjustable drop links.

You need a curved front link - availablle through us..
You will need to get a adjustable rear link- We can modify your existing ones to work......

the curved one's work great. i have the TRG versions (on the left) and they have been awesome. great range of motion with no binding.
