Question PSE - fit and part # ?

All - does a PSE from a 2000 car fit a 2002+ MYs?

Also, do you know what the part number on the PSE (actual exhaust) is? Thanks in advance.

I don't know about all that but, Suncoast can help and gave me a good deal when I ordered mine. I believe the cost for it is around $1600 with electronics. Porsche's TB on the installation with electronics is 7.5 hours of labor.

Bobby G,

I just had mine installed and was charged for 8 hours labor. I had the full electrics installed. I must admit though I wouldnt install them unless you intend to use them. I had it done due to the fact I can see my wife saying "ITS TOOOOO LOUD!!!", for me though it is just right.

I believe the part number is as follows:
00004420019

That's what I used to order it and seem to have ended up with the right item
I paid $1550 for mine and got it from Brandywine Porsche. They shipped it for me to Australia without any hassles.

A 2000 PSE will have smaller bypass pipes. If you look on the porsche site under sports exhaust they use an image of a 3.4L PSE. One the Carnewal site, Gert has an image of the 3.6L version. Will they fit dont know, would I install it? Probably not.

Regards
ArthurK

It will fit but you are better off with the second generation PSE designed for your 3.6. Actually the newer design has superseeded the older exhaust for all 996.

Thanks Guys. Good advice

I was just about to bid on a 3.4 L version on eBay. Glad I asked first.

The newer version definitely has superceded the old one.

If you want one cheap, check the for sale section. (Shameless plug).
