need pics supercharged taco wing

Ive been searching for an hour now but can't seem to find it... Guys, do you remember a thread awhile back about a guy who supercharged his silver 99/00 c2 w/ an earokit similar like karlooz (mk1). He did it cause he wanted to race his brothers black TT. It was a well documented project with dynos and all. It goes way back... reason why Im asking is I remember there is a pic in the thread where you have to cut a portion of the underside of the taco wing so it will clear when closed. I need that pic so my body shop can cut the wing before painting it. Thanks for any information on this.

The is no need to modify the Mk1 Aero wing for installing a centrifuge compressor as long as it sits low enough such as the EVOM system. You DO, however, need to cut into the cover on the stock retrackable decklid. Is this a custom, homemade system? If so, install bracket lower.

Thanks, so you dont need to do this cutout (see pic) with the MK1 wing... for the evoms system... that is great I'll give my body shop to paint away. Thanks 1999Porsche911!!

Your wing (lid) has no plate attached to it like the standard lid in the picture. FYI: mine is a 99 with factory Aero and lid shuts without hitting blower with no modification. Just be careful where the oil filler tube is located before closing so you don't hit the fan.

aha... I see it now where it is depressed across the lid, yes it should fit fine. Right now my oil filler cap sit along the right side of the compressor, I'll adjust it to make it look like yours, Thanks again

Red. Note that my fan is not installed in the picture I posted. The place I put my oil filler tube is even more to the right that the picture shows. I do not have the blowby return line connected to the SC intake tube that is shown in the picture, so the filler tube is sitting right up next to the bypass valve. Also, I have shorted my filler tube (for other reasons).

Before you decide where to position it, just check carefully when you close the lid when you have the fan installed to make sure it will not interfer. Otherwise, the few supports on the fan cover break very easily.

must be some impressive mods you have there, I remember one of your pics that you have no secondary air pump either. Thanks for the head up. I'm just waiting for my earokit, so I can stop speculating about fitment.
My shop had a heck of a time locating violetchromaflair (its a rare color)paint, hopefully the match is good. Still have to match the sample sheet they sprayed.
How many miles did you put on your S/C to date?

I just turned 60,000. SC has been on for half of that.

it shouldn't be an issue. i have a "turbo look" engine cover on mine. they just notched the inside of the decklid to clear the blower. it fit without notching it, but it closes better with the notch. that's your worse case scenario probably. my oil fill tube has been shortened as moved as well, but that's another story.
