93+ Octane Fuel for the Porsche
93+ Octane Fuel for the Porsche
I noticed when I first bought my car that 93 octane was recommended for our cars. Most gas stations here in the West Coast have only 91 octane. I want to start a thread where we can list the gas stations that sell 93+ octane unleaded fuel.
The spot I know in the Bay Area, they sell 100 octane unleaded gas at the pump. You can either fill up the car completely or mix with 91 to get a 93+ octane blend:
Cost is about $4.76/gal last time I checked

Steve, your white 911 looks like a turbo...in that event it probably does run better with 100 since your ECU on a 100 oct map will allow for more psi safely. On our NA 996s, there shouldn't be any power gains between 93 and 100 oct.
