Question OEM Brake Pads

I know the following manufacturers made OEM brake pads between 99-04, Ate, Jurid, Textar, and Pagid. Does anybody know what manufacturer Porsche used in 02?

Has anyone tried the Porsche Perfromance Pads? They're pretty cheap...$260

I have been looking to replace my stockers, they dust like crazy. I hear good things about Hawk pads if you are looking to go the ceramic route. I know this didn't answer any of your questions but I am feeling talkative tonight.

I just one that works well on the street and track. I definitely can't stand squealing.

I just put the performance pads on my car and they seem to work fine on the street but I haven't been at the track with them yet. Try these guys for a better price:

A few of my friends (997, Cayman, 996) have been using the PFC 97s on street/semi-dedicated DE cars with great results. I have driven their cars on the street and they work well. Judging from their tracking performances the PFC 97s are working VERY well in DE events at LRP, Pocono, NHIS. They are apparently easy on rotors and wear nearly twice as long as my Pagid Blues. As soon as I roast my stock ones, I will replace them with these on my 996. As for squealing, they actually "grind" a tiny bit when cold but really no squeal per se.

I cooked my stock pads in one season. I am putting the Porsche Performance pads on this weekend.

I'll know in a few months after the first track event. OEM pads are excellent, they just wear too quickly for track use, naturally.

On the 986 Boxster the oem front pads are made by Galfer and the rears are Texar.

Brembo and Porsche also put their markings on the pads.
