Wheel Recommendations

Hi Everyone,

First off i'm glad to be part of the family and have had the 996 for just over a month now and she is unbelievable

I'd like look at some wheel options and love the look of the Kinesis F110's so anything along the look and feel of those would be great. They would have to be light weight. I've attached some pics of the car for reference.

Also seems like these wheels are associated with BBS as there name was engraved on the inside of the wheel?

Thanks,
Mick

Hi Mick,

Welcome to the boards, the wheels you have on there are the Porsche Sports Design Wheels. They are a factory option wheel (2pc.) Neat thing is you can finish them all sorts of ways. My car was purchased with these on and I polished the outers and painted the faces black. I ditched those within two months and then picked up a set of HRE wheels which I road up until last Thur. when I picked up a set of Victor Equipments and went custom with them........

Welcome! And beautiful car! Lots of great wheel choices out there . . .

I love the Kinesis 110's; love my TechArts and Fikse's and Dymag's. And I hate to admit it, because it is against 6speed rules to recommend someone stick with stock anything, but I think your stock wheels look great with the yellow and AeroKit.

Thanks Mexico Blue, that's a nice looking 997. I do love the stock wheels esp with the ride height, however I'm thinking there must be something lighter out there with a similar look. At the moment I have 245 up front and 285 in the rear.

Welcome and nice ride. The F110s are sweet, but they are going to set you back a pretty penny.

Thanks,
I haven't put the HRE wheel on the scale but they do weight more than the Victors. Here's a photo of the HRE (for sale by the way) and one of the Victors (mind you mine don't look like this since I moded them to make they look 110% better.

The ones I have on my car are 19 x 11 on the rears and 19 x 8 up front. They are chrome plated with a Black Diamond Finish in the center area.... Hopefully I should have my PhotoShop back in working order so I can finally post a pic or two....

Those sport designs look great!

If you want to lose weight though, why not some carbon fibre wheels @ ~14 lbs?
