Yellow headlight covers?

I personally think it looks horrible esp. on a stock looking car. Maybe if you were all out with body mods and whatnot it would flow better.
Ya it is a requirement for them to run the yellow lights. GMG doesn't run them cuz they think they look cool.
Actually, GMG sells some nice blue tinted ones that I think look good. Most of their show cars have them.

you guys can flame on....I personally like them! Infact, I have them on my car. I did it a while back and got good response from it.
My car does hit the track but I did it more for the looks.

The reason race cars have them (like Grand-Am and ALMS) is because they race different classes of cars at one time (prototype vs gt) and sometimes race into the evening/night and they have to use headlights. Its so they can differentiate between the faster and slower cars, if a GT3 RSR sees white lights coming up then he knows its a prototype coming up fast and needs to get out of his way.
So...peeps think the yellow looks ricer. Does that mean these professional races where you are REQUIRED to have the yellow lights...have lots of japanese cars?
I know huge wings and ugly stickers are very ricey...but the yellow film is copying the "race" look in those specific races...so does that in itself make it ricer?

Is copying the "race" look ok when it's sponsor stickers all over your non-racing car? Or the huge wing which on race cars, provides a noticable benefit? Nope, it's rice. Why would copying the "race" look be any different for the yellow headlight film?
That’s the cool thing about these cars. I think Porsche is analogous to Harley Davidson in the sense that the depth of the customization and personalization of their products is endless. Some guys like the racy look and incorporate elements from more aggressive design standpoint. Some guys like a more refined and elegant look. Carbon fiber or burl wood for your interior trim? Porsche is extremely versatile. As for yellow headlight lenses? Well, on Europwr’s GT2 – faced Boxter, hell yeah! That car looks sick – no rice. Very well turned out IMHO. But, obviously, on other applications Yellow lenses would look really bad. I think if you’re building a GT3 clone, or other more aggressive mods, then – on the right color – I think the yellow works.
