I respond "a lot".That usually ends the conversation.

 

I like the respond (to anything pertaining to what I own) "how would I know, I just stole it!". Will have my friends cracked up and strangers going "whoa ... maybe I shouldn't be talking to this dude..." LMAO!

 

Say you don't know since it's your girlfriend's car and you're just borrowing it.

 

A good response to the "How much did you pay for your car" question is, "Too much, but it's so much fun that it seems like a bargain!"

Or "A lot less than you would think" (though this response worked better when I had a Boxster, which some people still think costs twice the actual price).
