I found the fwd leading edge of the door sill slightly loose. I managed to slip my fingers underneath and pulled like a ****. You will need some sort of clearcoat safe adhesive remover as some of the double sided tape will remain. The hard part (for me at least) was getting the new ones lined up properly.

Rob your very welcome!! I promise I won't cost you any more $$$ well maybe!

Antonio...Take a flat head screwdriver and pry it up a little, take a 2nd flat head screw driver while the first one is still in there and shove it in further... Once it starts to pull up and bend, you can get your fingers in there to pull up... It will slowly crack off... Don't sorry about scratching the paint under the sill, cause you will cover it with the new entry guard.. just don't scratch the sides...

Sloth i found it is not necessary to remove the old tape, it is still sticky and prvides a nice sitcy base for the new tape on the new sill.. So save yourself a good hour from trying to remove that.. Once you get the new one on its not going anywhere...

Tom on the back of the new strips are a couple of stems that go into the dash, that holds it a little, but we used a touch of heavy duty glue on the ends and the middle

Nice work Kevin.....that CF really sets off the interior.

I'm waiting for my Alu steering wheel and Alu door handles...is the install for the door handles fairly simple?

Thanks!! Yes it is... first thing to do is get a small needle nose vice scripts... There is a long pin that holds the ben in place.. If you grab ahold of that you can wiggle it out.. once that is out pull out the one side and drop it down in the compartment.. Then there other side will pull out and you can remove the bin.. You have to change out the plastic cover on the inside so be sure you have a small hex for that.. The handle just snaps off and the CF one snaps back on... Start from the lower part of the handle

You are very welcome Rob! It was our pleasure! Certainly was half the job with three guys working on it. Relatively painless. Probably the two most stressful areas are the carbon dash strips, and the lower center console. Thanks Kev for the props on the dash strips, although using the soldering gun was really un-nerving! If you go this route, BE SURE TO TAPE DOWN, as seen in the pictures, REALLY WELL!! Especially for those of you who have the all leather package. I had another thought....for those who posses a Dremmel tool...you might be able to use one of those, with the smallest diameter cutting tool, or drill bit, that you can get, and try to eat away at the plastic around the screw. This might provide a little more piece of mind for some of you that might have a case of the shakes for fear of putting a burn mark in your leather! I must say...that soldering gun works, but have two people there...one soldering directly on the screw, and one pulling out the strips. I definately know that I couldn't be a surgeon! Too shakey here!

FYI....Yes, I am aka "Kevin's buddy" here in Fresno, new to the boards, and ready to come out with a bang! I just installed the EVO Supercharger, serial #9, and the aero hood. I will be posting that very soon!

BTW...ANTONIO...Just an additional idea. If you have access to a heating gun which would work best, or even if the wife or girlfriend who has an extra hair dryer, try applying heat to the plastic entry guard, then use as thin and strong of a paint scraper/puddy knife that you can find. Start heating one end, work your puddy knife in, and move slowly down until complete. All that is underneath that guard is a strong double sided tape, which is glue and sponge combined. We haven't tried this, but you can bet that I will when I do mine. I am sure that it will work, and is worth the try, because just prying it off without giving some relief from the strength of the glue was a real biatch! Tough job...either way, like Kevin said, the scatches will be covered up. With heating it, you might not have any....worth a shot!
