pitbullforte has a spectacular aura about

difference between 1999 and 2002 seats

the 1999 feel softer and the leather cracks a lot.
What is the difference?

there is a supple seat option on all 996 model years. maybe ur comparing regular perforated leather vs supple leather? supple leather has more folds and does age more. i like the perforated leather myself.

but my seats are perforated and the leather is all cracked compared to my friendÂ´s 2002 carrera 4s that doesnt have a single crack ( plus he uses him everyday)

The extra 3 years of age and drying can appear to be a big difference in condition. If the seats haven't been regularly treated with a leather conditioner, it's dried out. Here's a good article on treating leather:
