Cool Question on B&M Short Shifter Installation

Hi, Guys.

I have intsalled B&M Short Shifter few weeks ago. Everything is working fine and I really like how it feels. But, starting couple days ago, I noticed that when I shift back and forth, I feel the "end-play" is kinda long. How much did you guys tighten the set screw in the front to reduce the end play. I am thinking about re-adjusting it.

Thanks in advance!

I do not adjust the set screw when it is in the car and hooked up to the shift cables for this reason. I adjust it when it is still on the bench. You snug it up as you are moving the lever back and forth, then back it off a hair. Tighten the lock nut and put a drop of locktite on the threads.

You might disconnect the cables and then adjust the set screw. That way you will know when the play is gone.
