Dealer trying to scam me HELP PLEASE

Does anyone know the original factory spec for 2002 c2 18" light weight 5 spoke 's front and rear tires? Please provide the tire specs and the brand of the tires from the original factory thank you guys.

My local Porsche Dealer is trying to put a Michilen on my 2002 c2 they said it was for the factory setting for 18 light wheels, however I thought the factory setting was pirelli Pzero.

michellins were also factory tires....if they are replacing just one, they need to MATCH the rest of your tires....

I would take Michellin PS2's over any street tire Pirelli has to offer. Let them do it.

I see thanks guys, also does anyone know the specs? The advisor said they put 265 35 18 on the back which I thought should be 285 30 18 or I'm wrong.

Go with 285/30-18, BTW those old P-Zero's where real junk. They're loud and don't grip very well.

Factory sizing was 225 front / 265 rear.

In 02 porsche switched over to a 285 30 18 in the rear and the fronts stayed at 225 40 18, i would stick to the michlens, pirelli and contis are both horrible.

285X30 is the correct rear size for an 02'. I wouldn't lose any sleep over getting the Rosso's. They offer excellent tread life and a nice combo for street/track use.

Just wondering, are they giveing you these tires for some reason. I would never get anything fromt he dealer that I can get at an independant shop. The dealer overcharges for just about everything.

I am pretty sure you can get the exact same tires at a discount tire or some other tire store for less.

That is a great question. You can usually get way better pricing from tire rack and have the dealer install them.

Hell I wouldn't even have the dealer install them. You can find a ton of good race shops that know how to balance tires the right way.
I don't go to the dealer for much of anything . My parts are all ordered from a dealer out of Portland OR cause they sell everything at cost+10%!!
