To roll or not to roll...

I recently bought some 19" HRE 840R wheels with some pretty aggressive offsets (41mm front, 51mm rear) for my MY02 narrowbody cab. Fronts 8.5x19, rears 10.5x19. I really like the wide look on a narrowbody, but I'm told that I may need to roll the fenders (specifically the rears) in order to make them work. Has anyone done this? If so, are there any disadvantages to doing it? Also, if tire size has any bearing, what will I need to avoid rolling my fenders without having that thin rubber lowrider look?
