That's too bad man, I feel you. My current company is right across the street from the local Police Station. Great office, but I been pulled over right in front of work 3 times already. Great fun having to explain later to coworkers driving by me to the parking lot why I was pulled over.

1) Not having turned the light on my loaner when I drove out of the parking lot, b/c it had daylight running lamps, I did not notice until I looked at the dash.

2) Pulled over because I was going 10mph over the speed limit on the highway heading to the exit to my work

3) Pulled over in front of our parking garage by a cop that decided to scare the crap out of me then give me a fix it ticket for my missing front plate. Though he did not give me a ticket for making a right turn on a red light without stopping completely.

Now I have front plates... Both Sharky and Bryan saw me that day running around like crazy looking for the license plate frame parts. I was not too thrilled that the cop claimed he would wait for me the next day to see if I put the plates on.

man..., I guess a lot of you are in LA, so am I. As for the tickets it is inevidable especially in LA, the only thing you can do is try not to get caught.

my translation, hope this clear things up

i was pulled over for no plate driving my S4. i asked the office to meet me back end of the week for proof of correction, rather than write me a ticket and all the hassels. he asked if i was a man of my word, and let me go. i ended up putting the plate back on just on principle.

anyway, i think you have to fix these tickets, you can't simply pay for it without correction.

Move out of Southern California.....pick most any other state and you won't need a front plate, have more open road to really run, plus taxes and cost of living will be so much less you can probably buy another new Porsche of your choice...

So...any of you that live in So Cal and know of the infamous LAPD...you can literally get shot and as long as you are not dying, the LAPD is not coming. You have to murder someone for LAPD to go anywhere. But not today..it must of been my LUCKY DAY!

8:30AM on Olympic Blvd and Hill St in Downtown LA.
LAPD swoops behind me light flashing...and I KNEW IT...the second I saw it was a 2 man car. Again..I have several friends that are LEO, LA County Sherriffs and even some LAPD. Whenever you see a two man cari in LA...9 out of times they are training a newbie..and that is EXACTLYwhat happened. Why on earth would LAPD pull me over JUST FOR THE FRONT PLATE!!!???

I am soo pissed...the Training Officer comes over...typical.."So you know why I pulled you over?" "its because you dont have front plates...why dont you have front plates?"

I literally told him..."because it makes the car look ugly...look at my car...a front plate makes it look terrible."

he wasnt too happy about that answer....15 mins later the newbie comes over and gives me my fix it ticket. WHATEVER!

I am just going to pay the damn fine...I am not putting a plate on the front that serves ZERO purpose other then to generate revenue at photo radar lights. I hate being made an example of...totally not fair...but whatever.

ok RANT OFF....grrrrr!

When I lived in L.A., I got tired of getting front plate tickets (2) in front of my own house by this one meter maid. I got PO'd, so I started parking in my driveway head out to PO him. I assumed he can't issue a ticket on private property. I guess he got tired of checking because I never got another, even after parking back on the street.
