Fuel tank, please help !

Hello to all. I am sorry ,i don't post photo first before I even ask question .Promise I will do this ,soon I get my car back. My question is : When shop was preforming some body work on my car ,2000 C2 ,they remove fuel tank .And after they out tank back , i can't pump fuel ,if I using fuel pump. Only if I slowly pour from spare canister. Even when I do this ,I can hear how tank start sucking air inside.Any idea were they screw up during installation ?
Thank you in advance.

I would take it back to the shop and have them double check everything. If necessary demonstrate the problem for them. Hopefully they'll make it right.

Possibly the hose was not attached to the tank properly or it's also possible that the pump and level seal wasn't sealed properly..... If the tank came out be sure to have the car aligned again. This means the sub-frame was removed.....

Good Luck,

-Eli

I'm not familiar with any body shops but two good performance shops are Maxrpm in Bremerton http://www.maxrpmmotorsports.com/ and Fordahl in Bellevue http://www.fordahlmotorsports.com/.

I had this happen when I had my SC serviced by Evo and found the answer on renntec forum. It was fuse E-6 I believe. It would blow again as soon as I replaced it until I taped over the cell phone connector behind the dash center console. A very easy fix but even Evo and my dealer did not know about this simple solution. Will

If you take off the little panel by the accellerator pedal, it just pops off, you will see a 3 or 4 pin electrical connector that is just flopping around. I just put a piece of duct tape over it and never had another problem. Will

I had the same problem

Went through all of the above (changed the blown fuse - kept blowing), and finally went to the dealer. They found stripped wires that controlled the vapor valve. The wires are hidden in the neck of the gas tank. They replaced them. Labor intensive proceedure to replace two wires.

Hopefully you do not have the same problem.

You don't need to remove the tank, way too much work, trust me I know. You'll need to remove the sub-frame/suspension parts etc. etc.

You can pull off the right front tire and plastic fender liner to access the line which goes to the tank. You can also pull the battery out and under the tray liner you can access the fuel sender and level. I would pull out the battery first to see if they got things sealed first before pulling the tire off.

Good Luck,

-Eli
