Opinions Please….

Okay, I’m on the home stretch here guys. I just installed a turbo front bumper with an aero chin spoiler, and of course the yellow calipers and black wheels that recently went on.

What do you guys think of these side skirts?

Also,

The thin yellow stripe around each wheel, yes or no?

And, finally, I know I have to paint that bracket behind the grills, while I’m at it I’d like address the brake ducts. I’ve seen race cars with a collector and flexible tubular ducting that attaches to the openings in the chin spoiler and runs back to where it blows on the brakes. Is there such a product on the market for my application?

THANKS!!

John that frontend looks sweet. Watch those curbs...
I think the side panels look good.....wondering what you are thinking for a rear wing....a CF Rear Wing may look trick with the CF front/Chin spoiler
I think the yellow stripe would be a great accent on those black wheels...matching the calipers
Any pics of that trick shifter in the new custom fabric?

I dont like the TechArt style skirts for a narrow body car...I'd go with GT3 mk II, and I'd also look into a nice wing to balance out the back.

Yeah, the wing is an issue now. I like the shape and height of a GT-3 tailbase anda GT-2 wing (in CF of course), but I think that wing would look strange on a NB car. Is there anything else out there I've missed?

The thing I like about the Techart skirts is that they follow the line of the door.

With that front lip spoiler Porsche says you need a rear wing or the car will be unstable at higher speeds....what their definition of unstable is or exactly what speeds they are referring to, I don't know...but it makes sense...the extra area of the lip gives the front more downforce, and without the equal amount on the rear, it can get light.....Maybe the GT3 with a Carbon fiber wing?

Do the GT3 sideskirts!!!!

The techarts are way to much. I hate the extra body line it gives the car..

with that awesome bumper, you have to go turbo (gt2) all the way... get the gt2 sideskirts (similar to the techart your showing but less complicated) and go with the narrow body gt2 wing (misha)).... while your at it put a turbo rear bumber... and your done!! Im not a fan of mismatch kits, just my opinion.

Gt3 side skirts is the best looking for NB and cheapest 'cause you don't have to get a new rear bumper to match the side skirts.
For wing..I think gt2 with carbon fiber blade will look awesome.
For the wheel you can try vinyl from autozone or pepboys like the one on my friend's 997s.

I like the silver wheels better. I'm not feeling the black wheels on the silver car.

I think Porsche is refering to track event, high speeds. I def notice a difference with the wing installed, but the car still feels perfect because the front is so low from the PSS9's.

Yes with PSS9's it again will be different as it will have less air under the car.....

Thanks, Newport. This is what I was worried about. Okay, since I need a new wing (I'm not too terribly upset), I'm feeling the suggestion by Miniporsche for the GT2 wing in CF. But, does anyone (Misha) make one for a NB? I saw one once that I loved but he was going too fast. So I don't know who makes it. It looked GT-2 but fit the NB really well.

I guess I need to see some skirts in person. Most of you favor the GT-3 Mk2, but they look too pointy to me. I still like the way the Techart follows the door curve - but this is all from pictures. The real thing might make me think differently. Redridge mentioned GT-2 skirts are similar, that might be the way to go and keep it more GT-2. But what about the NB rear bumper and the skirts fitting? Does anyone make GT-2 style skirts for a NB?

Newport, what lip do you have?

GT2 skirts are the same as TT, C4S, they are molded into the body, lots of people do the Techarts for TT and GT2's and thats why they look like GT2 skirts....to Me it looks good on a TT becuse of the big rear fenders and it "fits" to me...on a NB it seems too busy and "big" along the side of the car, a little overstated....So if you want "stock" GT2 skirts, you have to get them molded to your body and they wont fit your rear fenders....that would be a HUGE hassle to make those work. I have the stock TT plastic lip....I thought about your lip, but I am not doing a rear spoiler so I thought it would look front heavy, and then I wouldnt have enough rear downforce at high speed...so I passed....You can do the GT3 mk I skirts, many have, they are less "pointy" and more rounded....Misha's wing will fit the NB well....I am not bashing it, I have NO personal experience with it, and I like the way it looks and build quality is great, but I have heard bad things about its Aerodynamics...I have heard its gotten less stable at high speeds...I would do the GT3 with a CF blade....that would look HOT and match your front lip pretty well....
