Maybe its just me, but NSX screems "early 90's sports car"
I personally love the character and story of Porsche - is the rear the best place to put an engine? NO, but they made it a great car anyway...
Now, I must continue my quest for that TT...

As for Porsche, i too am interested in trying one out after reading/learning/listening to all the stories and hype that surrounds the brand. Hopefull ill have a chance to try all sorts of cars in my lifetime...
I dunno, I think the NSX is one of those cars I can't believe how current it still looks yet its so old.

That is one sweet machine, all wheel drive twin turbo, wait sounds familiar.....
Too bad once you get one through customs they cost 70k minimum
There is a reason why 01-02 TT are cheap. There are quite a few known problems with them and these aren't cheap to fix e.g. the fix for the popping second gear is a whole new tranny at the price of $11K.

1)The popping gear 2nd gear problem you refer to is less than 5% of TT's and probably closer to 1%
2) The problem appears to exists thru all the years and is not limited to 01/02, have a look at the poll on the 996TT forum as one example (01's = 9, 02's = 8, 03's =9, small sample I know, but where did you get your research from?)
3)The latest repair I have seen for it is not a "whole new tranny"
4) The latest repair guide I have seen was $2700 in parts plus labour
5) What are the other "known problems" you refer too or is this as accurate as the rest?
Other than the above, the rest of your post was entirely factual

Had this car been out of the warranty repairs could have totalled a fair amount.
I was looking at an 02 TT, but opted to go for an 03 C4S. OBV the TT is way more car than a C4S, but I was also on a budget and a big MODDER. If you are a MODDER, but still want a car that is not really that common, go for the C4S. Still has the wide body, turbo front bumper and that "SEXY" reflector across the tail end. Kind of like a Uni-Brow.
Heck, you could always throw a supercharger in it!!!!
JUST MY

So this sample of 1 is what you are referring to when you say "known problems"? I need a drink..........

So I did a little looking around guys, and it appears that an 01 in so/so (dealers call that good condition) with about 50k miles is 65k for a TT and they all seem to be Tiptronic (don't know if that affects the price down).
I think the drop in the price is because of many 4 and 5 year leases on the turbos ending and it takes some time to move "through the system". While the TT is nice, you'd better have some cash for repairs. I think it's starting to suffer the 928 syndrom. Awesome car, awesome performance, so complex that if anything goes wrong the bill cost as much as a 2 year old honda.
The C4S, while still complex is a NA car with a lot less that can go wrong and even a new engine if it ever needed one is doable for most in a pinch who could barley afford the car.
So you have to ask yourself, and I'm not knocking the turbo or anyone who owns one, but why would a car that was 130-150k go for less than 50% after 5 years, when the Normally aspirated are going for around 50% or more of their initial cost (depending on condition).
