Picked up a '04 C4S coupe for $3500 under MSRP. I test drove the the 345 hp anniversary model and those extra 25 hp didn't seem very relevant to my driving style (no increase in torque - the extra hp is felt at high RPM). Since the word is that the 997 will be around 350 hp, I decided to spring for the C4S. Perhaps with the 997, that 3.8 liter engine will allow for hp and torque increase and the power will be more noticable (but then again they are reporting a weight gain)

I agree. Get the C4S. If they're selling it to you for 1k over invoice, that's a steal, especially on a cab. I believe the 998 is going to come out a few years after the 997 so why not get the C4S, then trade it in for a 998 a couple years down the road.
