1K over invoice for a C4 is pretty good. I would go with that, If it were me. Is it in stock or would you have to order?

I wouldn't wait simply because imo 6 months in a C4s is worth more than the depreciation hit you will take.

same goes for people looking for turbos for 3 months just to save 5k or whatever.

If a C4S cab is what you want, I'd go for it--sounds like a great deal, plus the 997 C4S cab is probably 2 - 3 years away.

The C4S is the best looking Porsche there is, 997 included IMO and you've got a great deal to boot. Timing is right too, what are you waiting for?

If you want a 997, Might as well look for a nice 993, and pocket some money. I for one do not like what I have seen of the Great 997

I bought a loaded C4S a few weeks ago for straight MSRP, so 1k over invoice sounds like a great deal. Go for it, "drive it like you stole it" (after break-in) like so many people quote on P-boards, and upgrade to an even better p-car in a few years.

If you're constantly waiting to upgrade, you'll never buy.

CaI agree that I am not crazy about the 997 but once it is out it will crush 996 values...Aslo, we really dont know what the 997 will look like until Porsche unveils it in Paris

I agree it will hurt the 996 values, But that is why I was able to get a great deal on an 04 car, Ordered the way I wanted it. Like mozhacker said, If you're always waiting to upgrade to the latest thing, you will never buy. I say go for it and don't look back
