Gloss Black Ceramic Coated tips.....

Check this out, fellas. I've been searching for a deep gloss black coating for my exhaust tips. I was discussing it with guy who does powder coating and ceramic for a lot of the bikers I know. He told me about a new process ceramic coat that is one coat of a new satin/gloss ceramic coat, followed by a coat of clear ceramic. It's good for 1300 degrees F and after curing on my car for a few days, should become very durable and not fade, turn brown, chip, or lose its sheen. Who's to say if any of that is true, but for a $150 for the pair, I have no problem getting them done once a year if need be. What do you think?

Newport, if you put those on your car and add smoked tint to your headlights, you might not be able to find your car in marginal lighting situations!

It's called Fusion Powder Coating & Ceramic Finishes.
They are in Dania, just a littel south of Fort Lauderdale. 954-925-9911. Ask for Patrick. I image you could UPS him your tips. He turned mine around in three days.

Here's some pix with them on th car....

I have a set of 997S quad tips that are being ceramic coated at lucent motors. I will contribute $200 towards the cost. Buyer pays difference.

Your tips are hot and sorry for posting about my tips on your thread. Just want to pass a deal to someone.

Aloha

Byron

Thanks guys! She's coming along. I hope the rest of my interior arrives this week from the upholsterer. If it does, and I install it, then this next phase of my build will be complete and I'll post some worthy pix. After that it's just side skirts, wing, rear bumper, spacers..... Will it end?

Highcard, I've debated a thin yellow pinstripe on the rim. Someone was kind enough to Photoshop it onto a pic of my wheels on another thread a while back. I liked it, but not enough to paint it on. I've heard of decal stripes in vinyl but have yet to locate them. They are supposed to come on a backing in a perfect circle to fit a specific diameter wheel. I would love to find those. Anyone?

The tips came from Type 911 in England. I have another set, in black, that need a little work to make fit 02+ 3.6 C2. If anyone wants to talk about those…..
