I found that it was best to have the stock belts on the outside of the GT-3 seats as in DE events when using the Schroth belts the stock belt interferes with your back. I looked at the submarine installation and I may be wrong but I think the belts are installed wrong. They are to criss cross which will make them more comfortable. Take a look at the belts themself, they have an angle which is intended to be installed criss crossed.

Shortly after that picture was taken, the belts were routed through the seat holes, which I think is "correct".

 

I have mine going through the upper and lower holes of the seat - I think this works best. For DE's, I tape the buckle out of the way.

 

I did mine through both holes and attached the belt to the seat attachment point
