The trans was okay but the tires weren't. I had to throw on the big orange to limp home.

question. how did you paint your shift ****? did you remove the plastic piece to paint it? if so, how did you remove it?

It's actually quite easy. Get some blue painter's tape. Put a bag over the shift ****. spend about 30 minutes taping the parts you don't want paint. An exacto knife helps a lot. make sure you tuck the tape between the leather and the plastic. put on very thin 4 coats of yellow and 4 coats of clear coat. let dry in between and your done. If your ****, use a little thicker coats of the clear and sand in between.

Thanks. I was'nt sure if you somehow removed the plastic or not. Did you use spray paint from a can or did you use a spray gun?
