Is there anyway to put a factory turbo nose on without having to change the fenders out on a C2 cab?

I am swapping out the front on an '02 cab to an '02 TT bumper. I was told that this is a straight swap. The only mod required is some re-working of the ducting for the different openings on the TT bumper. Someone who has done the swap should be able to confirm this.

I am also curious as to what is involved in re-working the ducts. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Dave

Let me know how this turns out. I had heard some people say you had to replace the fenders as well, which would be more trouble than worth it. TT bumpers can be had for less than $500 though and would be a good swap if it can be done easily. Let me know how it turns out for you. I'll be following in your footsteps if it's pretty easy.

No problem. I was told by Gert at Carnewal, who also sells the TT bumper, that it was a straight swap except for the duct work. I think that it may be the '01's that require some addition modifications. I'll know soon. But it will be about a month before I have it installed. I need to let the paint cure for at least 30 days before I put on the clear plastic shield and then I will have it installed. As soon as I do, I'll post back and send you a note.

I plan on having it done by these guys. They did my brother's G35 coupe and it looks great. They roll the edges so that you don't see any lines if you have the whole bumper covered. It's the Xpel product.

Oalvarez,
Thanks!! The bumper was $1200 and paint and install was about $1100.. I didn't scrape at all with just the bumper, when I added the bottom lip, lots of scraping.. but that is easily repaintable...

Deputydog... the TT bumper for 99-01 is from www.mashaw.com
for a 02 and up... ebay..

KevinM: How was the "fitment" of your fiberglass Turbo bumper? Did everything behind the bumper line-up perfectly (just like a Porsche genuine part) or was there some modding/re-working that had to be done for the after-market bumper to actually bolt-on to the frame of the car?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, fitment is perfect, my body shop said it was the best aftermarket spoiler that they have installed. Labor was needed to sand it and prime it, its just not a paint and install piece as the OEM is.. but I am very happy with it.
