Are eBay headers worth the money?

Just came across these on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330118117067 - the price seems remarkable, but I'd be surprised if they weren't worth just what they cost.

If they actually increase HP and don't risk the engine....

Any thoughts?

Only if you want "faster responces" and "botl on style".
The good news is they give a "warrenty" and will give refunds for "defected" parts.

Good grief, this has to be one of the worst ebay ads I've seen in a long time, bad even for ebay.

You forgot, "Never Tired to Install" and "Applcation:" ...spell check anyone?

No harm in trying them (I think) for $200. They're just pipes, right?

Judging by the price, they are probably inexpensive, chineese made parts, so quality will be a concern.

Normally, you don't want the stainless steel headers unless you have a mid 60s muscle car with tons of space under the hood. These headers generate a lot of heat that can fry your engine compartment.
Better made header have ceramic coating on them to prevent this.

Maybe he could wrap them in thermo-wrap to prevent them from over-heating the engine compartment. I just got the recent Performance Porsche catalog and you can buy a couple rolls for about $40.

or you can just take yours off have a machine shop clean and bore it out a little and sound will be there. The design is really good on the OE headers. IMOP

The question is why? Why would you expect these inexpensive headers to be any better than your OEM parts? Normally, good aftermarket headers are a bit more expensive than OEM stuff because they are usually coated with ceramic and have been engineered to provide better flow. You get what you pay for. I'd bet these headers are prolly not even as good as OEM.
