Last week I installed new tires, balanced them all, and had 4 wheel alignment done.

What a difference! at 130mph today, the car tracked true and crosswinds were'nt an issue at all. vibration is lessened tremendously (although this will never be a benz in this regard) and confidence was way up.

spoilers won't really be necessary. shocks/springs felt well damped and smooth. i'm a happy camper

130 is not 155, your car will always feel like *** at those speeds, you cant just put on springs, you need to do shocks/struts as well.I have a 04 c2 along with my 04 TT, and i made that mistake the c2 always felt floaty and unstable when i only had H&R lowering springs.I did the bilstein setup and all of my issues went away, as I always say" Pay me now or pay me later" is very true in this case.
I am glad you think you have your problems fixed.......for now, just wait untill the stock shock/struts wear just a little more.....you will have you hands full then.

read my original post. i was complaining about instability at less speeds than 130mph. so there is a marked improvement already felt.

i think the car's got shocks as well, not just the springs. but i'll check that out too, just to make sure. i bought the car already set up this way.

thanks for the concern.

what shocks/struts would be advisable to go with the HR springs?

I play around 120 daily also. When I get serious, it's 170+ baby.

My Cuz's 99C2 keeps up with me all the way to 170. He never had stability problems. My friends 03C2 stays up with me at 160+ for the long haul. Never have stability problem.

Our cars could get up to 160+ and back in under 2 miles. Why do you need a lot of road to play?

Bruceinmiami, since you are going to spend the money on labor for the change, might as well go with a ROW M030 or X74 kit. Both are sports suspensions by Porsche for "Rest of World". M030 is the milder version while X74 will be scalple sharp. (Kind of like stage 1 and 2) Both are matched spring and shocks sets. M030 comes with sways also. No worries or tuning. If you like to tweek, go with PSS9 but make sure you get her corner balanced. Getting springs and shocks seperately is never a good idea.

get rid of the H&R springs and get a suspension kit... ROW 030 worked out extremely well for me; and if you want to slam it and don't mind some firmness go for the X74.

I had mine up to to 160 a couple of weeks ago and spent 150 miles above 120. Solid as a rock.

I corner at 125 and accelerating out of corners, hit 140 often enough, had it at 170+ on a narrow road with some up and down smooth valleys. No problem.
But I can not help you, I never touched anything on the car.
2002 carrera with sport package, giving it 18" factory wheels.
Michelin as per porsche recommendation. Nothing special with the car, no mods.

Good luck.

Wow, 125 corners. Tell me where. I love to play those corners. Oh, you mean kph not mph.

If you already have the M030 in Canada, that's the ROW suspension. You won't have the U.S. suspension problems.

I got a ROW M030 and it changed the car completely. I have since added an Aero front and GT3 sways.

The car is stable at every track I have been to.

ROW is a cheap fix in my eyes. It may not be the best, but it transforms the 996 into a very stable car.

That is 273+ in kph.
Location is way up North, 350 miles passed the border.
Thanks for the suspension info, what does ROW stand for?
