gt3 seats are illegal in the US only if you have back seat. If you remove the backseat then you're fine. You definitely don't want people to sit in the back if you have those seats installed anyways. (in case of accident, there is no way for them to get out.)

Jenner: I honestly forgot where I read that. But I remember that it was because you cannot legally install a fixed back seat in a 2 door car w/ back seats.

Eric,

Do you have a link to where you got those seats from? Sounds great.

don't the GT2 and GT3 both come without a back seat? then why won't porsche ship to the U.S. the GT2 and GT3 with GT3 seats as an option if that's the reason?

I have kids that sometimes ride in the back and I never thought of the GT3's being a problem; I know they don't recline but I never put two and two together...
What does eveyone who has them do with rear passengers? Is it now impossible to get in and out?

is it:

(1) because this way they can get us to spend more money on GT3 seats?
or...
(2) 'cuz us 'mercans have fat asses and want to buy our cars with comfortable seats?

do I win?

Not impossible, just very difficult. I have to get out first, slide the seats all the way foward, and they can barely squeeze out without me putting down the top. My kids are 5 and 8.
But I try not to use the Porsche to drive them now the GT3 seats are in.
