I have the carbon one for the 996, like the one above, but if I felt like a change, I would definitely get this:

http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p96191.htm

The 996 version of the 997 GT3 Alcantara shifter. Pretty cool, that Gert has one adapted for our cars. The service from Carnewal is excellent!

remember when you're upgrading, the stock shifter has a flat rectangular socket so 99% of aftermarket ***** just dont fit. Same thing with the B&M short shifter since it was designed exactly like the OEM one with the rectangular shaft. I got the B&M race shifter and it has a normal rounded shaft so that i can use any aftermarket shift **** (momo, sparco, razo, other rice..)

Other more costly options are to just buy an SSK package from a german company (techart, 9ff, gemballa, etc).

or you can get your B&M SSK shaft machined down.....

Newport your car is sick, I saw you on Macarthur and Bison on Thursday afternoon. I was on my way to a meeting out there. I had the daily, so I was rolling incognito. But just wanted to say the car looks bad a$$ in person.
