Exhaust questions from a new owner

Greetings! I have just purchased a 2001 C2 cab. So far, I have ordered a K&N air filter and Fabspeed cold air kit. Every site claims their mufflers are the best. What are your thoughts and experiences? I'm leaning toward the Fabspeeds. My other question is I like the look of the double oval tailpipes, but I believe they are only made for 2002+ models. Can I get them for my 2001 C2? Thanks!!

Fabspeed makes a high quality, great sounding exhaust. You can't go wrong with Fabspeed!

PSE and Fabspeed are the two most popular choices. Both sound great. I prefer Fabspeed on a NA 996.

When deciding between Fabspeed and PSE are there pros and cons to these or would you consider them both equal.

this may be a biased opinion, but i wouldn't want you to miss the deal being offered by GHL Exhaust

http://securehost.biz/Merchant2/merc...ory_Code=P-996

i'm not certain if he is still running a sale/special on the mufflers, if so, it's difficult to pass up. i'm quite happy with mine, i will say they're not the loudest out there, but they're definately a big improvement over stock and depending on the sale price, potentially $500-800 cheaper than PSE/Fabspeed counterparts.

good luck and have fun with the mod!!

Fabspeed is ligher and cheaper and may give slight hp increase.

Porsche exhaust is a Porsche product.

Both sound great. Depends on if you want weight reduction and deep sound, or no weight reduction and higher pitch sound.
