Strut brace?

Anyone have experiences with strut brace for 996? I had it for my M3 but it did nothing more than looks cool under the hood. Will the strut brace stiffens up the car any bit?

I have read posts saying that the front strut brace does nothing, but the rear brace can provide some benefit.
I do not have either on my pcar so couldn't say personally.

If you want more stiffness, go with the roll cage!
