GT3 Carbon Fiber Replica Seat Question?

For those with the GT3 Carbon Fiber Replica Seats, what brackets and slider is everyone running. I know the ebay site says you can use the stock sliders and brackets, but my car came with electronic seats. Is there an aftermarket side mount adapter with sliders that we can use? Does anyone know who carries it? TIA

careful with those seats....Its been posted here that they are not up to the quality of the GT3 seats and in a crash no one knows what will happen as they have never been crash tested...

Try Brey Krause @ www.bkauto.com
You'll need to get the seat track adapters and sliders.

Ive got a pair... they are made by a company in England called DesignTek... They are not DOT in the states, but are in England... DesignTek said they are in the process of having them meet FIA spec. Ive held mine next to a real recaro and you can tell a difference in quality, but not safety. They are just as solid as far as I can tell. I stole my pair in a NR auction, but if I was to pay the full 1400 or so they are asking I would just wait for the real deal. On my manual seats I just reused the OEM hardware... but I am using BK floor mount hardware on the driver side... I don't know about you fully automatic seats. I will say the quality isn't anywhere near that of the Recaro, so if you go with a set get the cloth ones and have them reupholstered. That way you will have the cloth covers if you track it.

don't waste your money. I know who made those original seats, and sold them to that company.. Stick with the real ones and get them painted or airbrushed with a custom finish

I have been trying to find some real GT3 seats like in my last C2, but no one has them in stock.

The company who made them are you talking about Auto Technik and Jeff at Fuzion

it is not auto techik... the company I know made the original mold but they are slightly smaller than the real Recaros. They were going to sell them, but Recaro sent them a letter baiscally telling them to get rid of the seat and mold "or else". They are a decent size seat company now, but they didn't want to deal with any kind of headache.

I just wouldn't trust my body in those seats if you were to wreck.. i have seen a couple of those seats out of two cars after the wreck... and I will just say I will always stay in my recaro
