I never notice if I do. Probably not, there are more Porsches than minivans here in Scottsdale.

That's because you're hot Kirby!

(Hey Kirb, call me when you get a chance, please.)

I get a lot a head turns. My cars are in "look at me" colors which is why too. Most people don't expect a woman to be driving either, which lends a whole different spin to it.

My Porsche never really did turn heads as much as I would have liked. After $170K+ you would think people would be interested but i guess we're all caught up in our own little worlds aren't we?

I really think it is the area. I live in the Pasadena area...so driving around home I get some looks...especially with the top down. That for sure gets more looks. I think convertibles in general get more looks...if you are in a miata or a Bentley.

But I used to work in Century City where Porsches are the CHEAP cars on the road and driving home through beverly hills or other "nice" areas no one cares...soooo...I think its a geographical thing.

Yet another OC perspective. P-cars are very common here, and I don't really get much attention in my C4S. The other day I was at the carwash and a mid-year (63-67) big-block convertible Vette pulled up and it instantly drew a crowd. Maybe it was the sound of the loud rumbling V-8, but it was sure nice to look at. I've even seen Vette people compliment Mustangs on color, wheels, etc. but they don't pay attention to the P-car. Perhaps it's the American vs. foreign thing.

what i have seen is that if your Pcar is stock.. not a ton od attention from muscle car guys. When alot of them see mine, with the cage and everything they are always asking questions.

I think geography has a lot to do with it as well. When I go to little towns 30 or 40 mins away from me the p car gets a ton of looks. And an occasional wave from fellow porsche drivers.

I am fond of the ones that want to tell you their life story at the gas station...and when they finish their story they say, "my boss owns one of them there porshez".

One of these days, I am going to turn around and reply,

"THAT IS WHY HE IS YOUR BOSS".

Let me get my damn gas in silence and peace!

not in the bay area. porsches are as common as honda accord. This is my favorite: a young chick asked, "is that a VW beetle, that's kinda different". i replied, "ya, it's a beetle on steroid".
