Go as low as you can go based upon your driving habits (DD vs. weekend cruiser vs. track vs. a combination), also taken into consideration if driving on the streets the condition of the streets.

Sorry to hear that the ride is 'harsh' that is a shame, my x74 is a firm ride but not harsh at all.

And yes get the adjustment done by a specialty shop that knows racing setups IMHO.
